Hancock Agriculture is looking to appoint a Property Manager at Moolan Downs, located in Queensland’s Western Downs region. Reporting to the General Manager for Wagyu Operations, Backgrounding and Feedlotting, this role is responsible for the day-to-day running and development of the large-scale breeding and backgrounding property. You will oversee livestock operations, water infrastructure and production of fodder to support growth in our exceptional 2GR Fullblood and purebred Wagyu herd.
Key responsibilities: Managing herd performance in line with specific nutrition, reproductive, BC score and growth rates objectives, maintaining accurate record keeping; Operating herd management software; Overseeing livestock movements, transfers and sales, adjusting stocking rates and plans as conditions change; Managing and developing pastures and fodder crops in line with seasonal conditions.
