Spoiling rain in winter causes damage to tropical pastures, leading to a reduction in diet quality. What are the implications for cattle and sheep grazing these pastures and how do we manage for this?

In this webinar, join Désirée Jackson (Désirée Jackson Livestock Management) when she outlines the issue and what should be considered in managing this decline in diet quality.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar.

I would have thought that tropical pastures, having evolved in higher rainfall regions, would be less susceptible to effects of extra rain than temperate species.
Or is that they have evolved in summer dominant rainfall regions ?

We suspect your second hunch is the right one, Ian. The north's native species, Mitchell and Flinders grass - hate winter rain, and quality is seriously compromised. Editor
