Yarding 5180 Change +1284
The number of stock penned at Dalby increased by 1,284 head to 5,180.
A large panel of export buyers was present and operating along with the regular feed and trade representatives plus a good lineup of restockers.
Light weight yearling steers returning to the paddock averaged 12c/kg better.
A lift in the standard of the yearling steers under 330kg to restockers or background experienced a large improvement in price. Yearling steers to feed received very little change in price. Light weight yearling heifers to restockers lifted in price by 6c/kg. Yearling heifers to feed sold to firm demand.
Most classes of export processor lines sold to a dearer trend with bullocks 10c/kg better.
Cows improved in price by13c to 15c/kg.
Light weight yearling steers to restockers made to 446c with a good sample at 395c/kg. Yearling steers under 330kg averaged 400c and made to 443c/kg. Yearling steers to feed for the domestic market averaged from 345c to 374c with the occasional sale to 403c/kg. Heavy weight yearling steers to feed made to 368c to average 333c/kg. Light weight yearling heifers returning to the paddock made to 324c to average 277c/kg. Medium weight yearling heifers to feed averaged from 280c to 295c with sales to 338c/kg. Heavy weight yearling heifers made to 330c to average 295c/kg. A fair sample of bullocks averaged 316c with some to 327c/kg. Export heifers made to 299c to average 296c/kg. Medium weight 2 score cows to processors made to 215c to average 209c/kg. Heavy weight 3 score cows averaged 231c/kg. Good heavy weight cows averaged 243c with the best to 255c/kg. Heavy weight bulls made to 275c/kg. PTIC cows sold open auction made to $1,300/head.
