FRIENDS and colleagues of larger-than-life Queensland stock agency identity Stan Wallace are invited to attend a gathering to mark his life in Brisbane early next month.

Stan, or ‘old son’ to his many friends, passed away last week after a short illness, aged 91. He spent seven decades involved in the cattle industry, firstly as an active stock agent in western Queensland with Dalgety, and during his later years writing a weekly column for Queensland Country Life.

A gathering will be held in a reserved area at Brisbane’s Breakfast Creek Hotel from 2pm on Saturday 5 July.
