Date claimer: Brisbane to host Global AgInvesting Forum in 2026

THE influential Global AgInvesting forum event will be held in Australia for the first time in June 2026.

The events have been held annually for the past 17 years in major finance and investment centres like New York, Tokyo and London, bringing together experts in primary industries, private equity and institutional investors, and leading agribusiness executives.

A large contingent of Australian ag sector stakeholders routinely visit the New York event each year, including financiers, property marketing executives, fund managers and others.

“The Australian agriculture market offers investors several distinct advantages, including abundant natural resources, a favourable climate, and diverse primary industries,” a spokesperson for GAI told Beef Central.

“We selected Brisbane as the host city for GAI Australia because Queensland is one of the nation’s most dynamic agricultural and natural capital markets, with strong global connections and leadership in sustainable farming, water management, and agtech innovation.

“Brisbane offers easy access to Asia-Pacific investors and a vibrant local agribusiness community, making it the ideal setting to connect global capital with Australian agricultural opportunities.”

The event is being supported by the state government, despite Qld being the only state in Australia that has a tax on foreign investors.

Large agricultural companies have told Beef Central the tax is forcing some to divest in Qld and look interstate for ag opportunities.

GAI leads to new investments and partnerships

The event, which attracts delegates from across the world, will be held 10-11 June 2026, with regional investor tours on offer the two days prior to the event.

“Global AgInvesting events are designed to connect global capital with actionable opportunities through curated networking, high-calibre content, and market intelligence,” a spokesperson for GAI said.

“Investors typically include corporate and public pensions, endowments, foundations, family offices, sovereign wealth funds and investment consultants; while delegates from land management companies, corporates operating across the agricultural value chain, from input suppliers and processors to food manufacturers and distributors all attend.

“Participants have told us they leave with new investments, partnerships, and expanded market presence as direct outcomes of the event.”

Attendees gain:

  • Exclusive access to decision-makers and institutional allocators actively seeking investment opportunities.
  • Market insights from leading experts, offering perspectives on trends, risks, and emerging sectors.
  • Practical strategies and case studies that can be applied immediately.
  • A network of lasting relationships that drive deal flow, partnerships, and capital commitments long after the event concludes.
