Yarding 11,500 Change +423

A new centre record has been set for Dubbo with 11500 cattle scanned. It was a very similar yarding with large numbers of cows and their weaner calves throughout. There were odd pens of well finished grown steers and heifers along with odd pens of yearlings to suit the feeder buyers. Not all the regular buyers were present with restockers and feeder buyers absent.

Young cattle to the trade were cheaper with prime yearlings selling from 330c to 470c/kg. The very best of the feeder steers and heifers were firm, most though were 15c to 25c/kg cheaper. The feeder steers sold from 382c to 518c while the feeder heifers sold from 320c to 477c/kg. Young steers to the restockers were 55c cheaper while the young heifers were 70c to 125c/kg cheaper. Young steers to the restockers sold from 200c to 486c while the young heifers to the restockers sold from 140c to 410c/kg.

Grown steers and heifers were 4c to 8c cheaper with the prime grown steers selling from 4000c to 472c while the grown heifers sold from 400c to 466c/kg. Cows were 20c to 25c cheaper with the 2 and 3 scores to the processors selling from 180c to 304c/kg. 2 exceptional C muscle cows sold for 388c while the balance of the prime heavy weights sold from 260c to 330c to average 311c/kg. Cows to the restockers were up to 45c cheaper selling from 120c to 274c/kg. Bulls were 20c cheaper selling to 386c/kg.
