Yarding 6000 Change -1800

6500 cattle were scanned in Gunnedah. 1300 less then a week ago. Overall it was a good quality yarding with large numbers of cows again however  all categories were represented. A full field of buyers and an increase in restocker competition saw most categories improve.

Young cattle to the trade were over 40c dearer. The steers topped at 440c while the heifers topped at 434c/kg. Yearling steers to feed were 10 to 15c better they ranged from 420c to 518c/kg. The heifers made between 360c and 426c/kg. Young cattle to the restocker were over 40c dearer The steers made to 494c and the heifers reached 440c/kg.

Prime grown steers to the processor reached 410c/kg while the prime grown heifers made it to 388c/kg. 2 and 3 score cows to the processor were 10c dearer. The 2 score cows made from 210c to 270c/kg. The 3 score cows ranged from 255c to 325c/kg. Prime heavy cows were 5c cheaper they made from 286c to 336c to average 314c/kg. Cows back to the paddock saw sharp gains and made from 170c to 300c/kg. Bulls topped at 360c/kg.
